ipod nano question

any thoughts on the new (2gen) ipod nano?
...i personally prefer the color black, but as u may know apple have only made the black in 8GB....annoying...
i was thinking to maybe getting the older (1st Gen) ipod...looks alot sleeker.
any suggestions?....like for example, any advantages or disadvantages between the two.

I had an older gen ipod.. Performance wise there is absolutely no difference in my opinion.. The older nano's coating was very easily scratched, blemished and marked up along with its metallic black side which shows everything from scratches to fingerprints.

After my older nano was stolen i bought a newer gen (5.5).. Its outer layer is extremely durable and is very difficult to scratch.. The backing has also been improves and is almost scratch resistant.

Also, the looks can be deceiving. Because of the newer gens rounded edges it looks "fatter" and less sleek, but i have compared the ipods and they are just the same size.

Overall the new gen is a better buy if you like to keep your electronics in good shape :). If however the black is the most appealing to you i suggest you buy a custom skin for your ipod from any of these sites

hmmm...some good info....i'll think ill get a 2nd gen black one. if anything, i can also use it as a portable hdd (has enough storage...)...thanks...

goin on holiday soon, so should get it abit cheaper in duty free..
