6800GT FPS probloms after an hour
I have a Nvidia 6800GT 256mb and I've been having a problom with my FPS droping dramaticly after about an hour of just the computer being on(happens faster playing any game), I know its not overheating, temp are all well below that. But if I reboot when this happens it solves the problom and goes back to normal for another hour or so. Any ideas? Thanks

Does the whole machine slow down or just graphics? Try running with the task manager going in your system tray (lower right corner) and see how CPU usage changes.

Was there any specific process that was taking all that CPU time? It's normal for the idle process to use a huge chunk but that's so you can figure the use of other programs.

Alright I found the problom, after an hour something called Mainserv.exe starts hogging all the CPU, so I decided to try ending the process and it worked. No lag or slow down or anything, so whenever I start the computer I just stop it and everythings fine. Anybody know *** this Mainserv.exe actaully does?
