9600xt and Windows XP..HELP!!
So I reformatted my computer this morning, installed windows xp pro. It went smooth as a button. Than I went to ATI.com to get the drivers for my 9600xt, no problems there. I install them, no problems..I restart..and when I go to change the settings for my graphics card it says;
"The currently selected graphics display driver can not be used. It was written for a previous version of Windows, and is no longer compatible with this version of windows. The system has been started using the default VGA driver. Please contact your hardware manufacturer to get an upgraded driver, or select one of the Microsoft provided drivers." And it stays in 8 bit colour........I can't change it. This is silly, because I know it is compatible i've been using it with this windows for a long time no..so what the?? |

You need to install Microsoft NET Framework before downloading and installing ATI drivers.
