ATI x1900's in crossfire mode display problems

hi,

at my work place we are having a couple of problems, with crossfire, every time we use it there is a lot of flickering on the screen and a bit of ghosting aswell, we think its the cable linking the two cards or the manufacturers, yet today we have recieved an RMA which is having the same problem, but its a card that the customer ahas added, is there anyway to get round the flickering and ghosting problems? any help would be much appreciated...

the system specs are below.

ASUS A8R-MVP mobo
AMD FX-60 dual core
4Gb DDR3200
Saphire x1900 crossfire edition
connect3d x1900xtx.
160Gb hdd
dvd rom and rw drives

thanks for your time.

NICE SYSTEM!

Now that that is out of the way, I'm unfamiliar with ATI crossfire so this is a blind, vague suggestion. Make sure the drivers are updated. Crossfire is new so the drivers that may have come with the cards could be a little bugy. Also make sure your power supply is adequate. That system is a monster and is power hungry compared to lessor systems. 600W+ should probably be what you want. Also, what monitor? No name LCD's can have bad ghosting if their response time is long. Generally good LCD response time is 16ms for general use and 12ms and under for gaming.
