radeon 9250-no video with beeps

hi guys,i'm new on here so any help would be appreciated.I just got my pc this week.I used it two days,no problem. The third day i went to turn it on and it beeped at post 10 times.........no video!I'm not sure but i thing the video card is toast. My motherboard is an asrock k8upgrade-vm800 and my video card is a radeon 9250 agp.I also tried the onboard video and it runs fine. Can anyone tell me if this is a bios problem?faulty card?or is it just a driver problem?because of the beep codes i'm thinking my bios was changed by a virus or something.I also reset the bios after the problem and still get the beep codes when i install the card.Bios is now reset to default. Please help!!!

That was the first thing i tried, figuring it must be something that simple. After all it is a brand new system.I figure wrong!I've had the card in and out like 10 times now and still no video,10 beeps, windows can be heard loading up through speakers.today i tried something new,i had an old TnT2 agp card and tried that........it worked!so at this point i'm pretty sure the radeon card is toast, just glad the agp slot on the mother board wasn't what was wrong.I will try the card 1 more time, cleaned the contacts with a white eraser.Maybe i'll get lucky! But after reading all about the problems people are having with these cards i'm not going to hold my breath. At this point i'm thinking the radeon 9250's are just junk to begin with.Even if it does work i'm not sure i even want it in my system now.Might go good for three more days and piss me off again. Then it's target practice material.
