right clicking on 4GB+ files screen goes black for 3 seconds

I'm running XP with Biostar G4 6200 video card. When I right click on an .avi file or if I click on the NVidia settings icon in the system tray the screen goes black for about 3 seconds. Any idea? Thanks ahead for your input!

I recently had the same issue. Did you upgrade anything recently? It did it to me only after I put whole new stuff in my comp. CPU, MB, and video card. It seriously went away after a few days though.

My System

That started happening to me one day about a year ago with my evga 5700le on a 17" gateway 700b CRT. I researched a little and found out that it was normal, that some cards even flash 3 or more times evertime windows boots and when going to display settings. I noticed it only did it with the forceware drivers at a resolution over 800x600. A couple days ago I bought a Philips LCD I'm running it at the exact same settings 1280x1024@60hz and not one flash. I think it must have something to do with the nvidia driver and certain monitors.
