How?
I just built my own computer, I havn't installed my graphics card in it yet but I still can open and login windows. When I check my adapter it says Vga save as in properties. So, I still can play games and such without a graphics card? I am using a 19'' Sony LCD SDM-81 monitor.

I'd say windows is using generic vga drivers that work with any video card. They aren't a replacement for the real drivers. I'd go to the web site of the video card manufacturer and download the current drivers for your card.
