Help with 6600GT No Signal on Monitor

I'm new to this forum, i was recommended to it by a friend who says he gets help from here all the time. Maybe you can help me out. I've been trying to solve the problem myself for the past 3 days without any success, only failure, had to reformat my pc yesterday.

First my system specs:
Motherboard Name Asus A7V8X-LA (Kamet2)
CPU Type AMD Athlon XP, 2166 MHz (13 x 167) 3000+
1024MB DDR RAM
Chipset: South Bridge VIA VT8237
Company Name VIA Technologies, Inc.
DirectX 9.0c installed
AGP 8X mobo
My current graphics card: Ati radeon 9200SE AGP 128MB
Graphics card I'm trying to get to work: eVga 6600GT 128MB ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130220 )
Power supply info (430W): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817153023
Monitor details:
Monitor Name EPI EnVision EN-D1556A
Model EN-510

ok I'm having problems with upgrading the AGP video card. Whenever I put the new 6600GT inside the slot and try to power up, I get a No signal Monitor error. Nothing displays on the monitor, it just stays black whole time while pc is booting up. I get no beeps while the pc is booting up at all, the fans are turning and everything is working as normal, i just can't see anything is the problem. I've tried a multitude of things, as i have been working on this for 3 days. Any help is appreciated.

it is not a quality supply and runs at the bare mimimum 18a on the 12v line
check your power requirements here
http://www.jscustompcs.com/power_supply/
based on a quality supply and add 30% to the result
the best way to check is see if you can borrow a quality 550w to put and see what results

just noticed this after I upgraded my chipset. I don't know what the AGP values were before but look at the bottom of the pic, it's saying AGP is disabled when I'm using my agp slot right now for the 9200SE. I tried 'enabling' it through BIOS, how do you enable this? And another question, how can i get back my onboard (Integrated) Graphics? Any help is appreciated!

in the device manager uninstall the card
turn off the computer remove the power lead
move the video lead to the onboard
remove the card
restart the computer and enter the bios
renable the onboard
the only reason for the agp to be disabled, that i can think of is you have not installed the chipset drivers by running your m/b setup disk

hey i'm at work right now.. dai can you please specify exactly what you mean by: "turn off the computer remove the power lead
move the video lead to the onboard"
I'm don't understand what you mean.

Also, man i wrote a long post here from work but it said i wasn't logged in and now i have to rewrite it.. sigh.

Ok can someone please point me where to download the chipset drivers for my motherboard (asus a7v8x-la) Here is a picture of my mobo:

Also here is another picture from when I tried to install the integrated graphics contoller drivers from VIA website. Here's the error message I got:

My chipset is KM400 and that was the right file according to the via website.
I really do need my onboard graphics back, Why is everything disabled when I just reformatted my pc like 2 days ago? I had to reformat while on my AGP 9200SE. When I try connecting the monitor VGA cord into the integrated graphics controller port, I get a black screen (Just like when i try to use the AGP 6600GT) So i'm constantly stuck with using the AGP port now. I do remember disabling it, from device manager back in 2003 when i first got the card. I'm regretting I did but I was having problems with the pc, It wouldn't set AGP has the default and kept reverting to the onboard. (gg)

Any help is really appreciated. I did send back the 6600GT to newegg for a replacement. But i'm starting to think that the problem is on my side, even though I have tried so many trouble-shooting methods, although I never got to try the card in another computer (i don't know where to go for that) I shipped it back this morning, so i'm sure i won't get it back until sometime next week (slow *** UPS)

Dai thanks for your suggestions on this, just please specify what you meant by your last post, i don't fully understand what you want me to try.

One last thing, the molex 4 pin connector splitter that came with the AGP 6600GT, what is the proper way to install that? Here is a picture of it:

One end goes into the graphics card, But i'm not quite sure where the other two ends go, I did try a multitude of things. And i'm guessing the power supply connectors aren't the same thing? Do you HAVE to use the molex plugs provided? What's the difference this is the first time i'm trying to install a card where it has connectors.

Ok I got some more work to do, I will respond later or when i get home.

One end goes into the graphics card, another one should go to your power supply connector.

http://majorgeeks.com/download1131.html
the splitter, you put the single plug into the end of a power lead, this gives you 2 power leads instead of one
if you do not have all the power leads connected to the m/b and the card,it will not work
the instructions were for renabling the onboard
you have to disconnect the power from the wall outlet to the power supply when working inside your computer
for onboard to work you have to move the video monitor lead from the card to the m/b video socket
