Good mid-range cards would be the ATI X700 or GeForce 6600 series, these come at about $100-150. Since money is not an issue, if you want to step it up, you can choose from the ATI X800 ($200-400) , GeForce 6800 ($200-$300), or GeForce 7800 ($300-400), of course there are other options, but these seem to be the more popular gaming cards.

Can you post your system specs, please? It's hard to make a suggestion without knowing what it'll work with. There are also some dependencies that will limit what can be looked at.

well if your motherboard supports agp8x which it probably does then get something like a 6800GT very nice card that will run any game you throw at it, i no because i have 6600GT and that can run anything pretty well so a 6800GT will probably set you up for atleast another year. Anything higher than a 6800GT e.g. a geforce 7 i would recommend gettin a new motherboard with PCI Express on it, thats my two cents ;-)

good cards

All of those are good cards (except the ATI's that were listed) j/king, more of a Geforce fan, but ATI's are good. 7800's will be your best bet if you have a pcie slot.

p.s. farcry isn't all that great....in my opinion of course!

I personally liked FarCry a lot on my AIW X800XT and my mobile XP-2400+ @ 2450 MHz!

I thought the binoculars that sense opponents was cool, the thermal vision was awesome and very necessary in many cases. And it was cool how you had to use object in the environment to do things. Like shooting a chain to make a contatiner partially fall to become a ramp, or pushing boxes to help you jump over something tall.

Very cool game!!

AIW X800XT is my vote. He definitely doesn't have pcie since he is currently using a AGP Geforce MX400
