What will overclocking do?

So I want to know what exactly will the overclocking of a video card do for games such as Counter-Strike.

Just by upgrading and leaving the card (ATI Radeon 9000) at it's defaults I'm getting 99 fps. So should I overclock? What are the risks? Advantages? Can I do any real harm?

Just curious over here.

If you are a competitive Cs player ( playing in the leagues ) over 100 fps is not allowed. And if you are getting 99 constant you dont need to overclock your card. But out of the leagues you can break the lock and get fps over 100 and overclocking will definetely pull it up. But remember overclocking means no warranty and a lot of heat and shorter life of your card.

And .. no dont over clock it. Your card is a decent card for CS. You can get more fps with a console command. Tweak your cfg file.

Pm for the console command to unlock the fps max 100 and tweaks. LoL and if you get to be a good player i may recruit you :))
