TV-out problem with Geforce 6600GT
Hey!
I have just upgraded my MB and memory. And when I put on my tv-out option (Clone view) the tv shows strange vertical and horizontal waving lines. This happened suddenly after the upgrade. I saw that people have problem with B&W pictures but mine is little bit different. You can see the colors but the picture has wavy lines. I´m using S-video cable between the computer and TV. What is also strange that when I boot my machine the picture is fine on my TV until the Windows loading screen appears. SPecs are: ASUS A7V600-X, 512 MB 400MHZ DDR, GEFORCE 6600GT, NEXUS 300W |

Try a different cable. I had a similar problem with my laptop. It wouldn't work with a cheap S-video cable so I got a Monster cable and bingo! It works very nicely. You may not need the uber-expensive Monster cable, but I would guess your current S-video cable is the problem. Keep us posted with your progress

Unfortunately, gold tips do not improve the quality of the cable in the cable. It is a great sales tool, but doesn't guarantee a quality unit. You may have to try the Monster Cable just to make sure...you can probably return it if it doesn't work for you. If it does, then problem solved. ![]() keep us posted with your progress.
