Compatibility with Presario 5000
Hi,
Would an x850xt work in a Compaq Presario 5000 unit? Also does my computer accept a AGP or PCI slot? Thanks! Last edited by UncleMacro; 11-26-2005 at 08:11 PM. Reason: copying some info from original thread |

There seems to be a lot of different models of the Presario 5000 so I'm not sure about your exact hardware. They all date back to about 2001 and have CPUs which are around 1GHz or so. An x850xt is way overpowered for that kind of computer. You can find specific info about your hardware by downloading and running Everest. It can tell you all about the hardware in your computer. If you'd like some help interpreting that info then you can have Everest generate a report and include it as an attachment to your next post.
