Sry , my card is Nvidia Geforce 4 64Mb MX 440 , and I bought it 3 years ago , at that time it is not bad . I consider buying a new card but powerful card need new Pci -express and a new power suplly . My power supply is 250W and for a new card i think I need to buy 450W ! And my board is just ATI basic ! If I bought new card , main board and power supply , do u think it can run smoothly ???

I've heard that for CS to run well you need 1Gb of RAM. Your vid card, I'd sugest,(I beleive there's a budget), a Radeon 9550 256Mb or better.

As for the sudden drop in performance, I'd say that your RAM or video card is quitting. Run a benchmark and a memtest.

Not true. My brother ran css at over 25fps with my former computer which had 348mb of ddrsd ram and a p4 @ 1.6 ghz 400 mhz fsb and a fx5200. An the lowest settings of course.

The mx440 won't run CS:S smoothly. I have the same card.

Simple as that. :)

CS: Source requirements are about the same as Half life 2 (though in multiplayer, you will get a greater performance hit with more people on server

I can play CS Source @ 800x600 /w
AMD 1.3 t-bird, 512M 2100, GeForce 3 Ti200 64M

Just being able to play, and being able to play smoothly are two different things.
