Nvidia Quatro drivers

I've a couple of questions on updated drivers for my PNY NVS 400 Quatro video adaptor:

1. Is there a benefit in getting updated drivers if I am not experiancing any problems ? If it facilitates or improves CPU/Video adaptor resources I'm all for getting the new drivers...

2. I see on the PNY site that there are 3 versions of updated drivers available for my card, the newest dated Sept 05...if I should update the drivers, which one should I download?

3. Could there be ill effects to updating the drivers?

4. Why are earlier driver versions available - shouldn't the "newest" be the best one for all users?

Read the revision texts that come with the drivers. Often the newest just have fixes and added support for new hardware and won't help older hardware to work better.

Thanks for the reply.

I did read the text and could'nt figure out what any of the revisions
meant

So I'll assume that they may be updates for nview features
I don't use or as you said for newer hardware.
