77.33+ nVidia Driver Issues

Hey all,

My computer seems to have an issue with nvidia drivers that are any newer than 77.30, and I cannot figure out why. I have browsed the nvidia help forums and looked on the internet, but with little success.

My problem is that when I install the drivers I am unable to see videos, screensavers, and certain games when in DVI mode on my monitor. When I have version 77.30 installed, everything works perfectly on both DVI and analog. I have no idea as to what is going on.

System:
----------
AMD 64 3200+
2 gigs RAM (x2 1 gig sticks)
nvidia 6800 GT OC (256MB)
ViewSonic VP191b 19" LCD x/ Portrait View Option

I think that's all you should need. Any help in this area would be much appreciated.

No it doesn't freeze, it simply refuses to dislplay any type of video while I'm on the DVI input channel.
