Having problems with my NVIDIA FX 5950 Ultra

well i've been having problems with my vid card for couple of weeks, i have uninstalled all the drivers, and put the latest one and it still giving me problems, i see some kind of distortion or object that pop up on the screen while playing games, i got a pic here that shows what im talking about, i dont know why its been doing that, i also uninstalled the direct x and installed the latest one and im still having problems with it, does anybody know what i can do to fix this?

yes i had a similar problem with Battlefield Vietnam.
first of all, is it overclocked?
second, what is the peak temp it reaches when playing a game?
Third, if you turn the settings down does it still have the same problem? i only got the problem which looked just like that when i turned my settings to high on my Geforce mx440 8x

if it isnt overclocked, the temp is under 50C during work and the settings are on low and u still have the problem... it might not be your video card...

Actually, it may still be the card. If the RAM is bad in any way or if the pixel piplines of the card are bad then you'll get what we geeks like to call "Artifacts." Sometimes underclocking can fix the problem at just a slight drop in performance. If even major underclocking doesn't work then you just have a bad card on your hands.
