Display problem
Hi all,
My computer has some problem with booting. After beeping, showing the system information, the system show Windows XP screen with a progress bar. This is normal. But suddenly the screen go totally black while the CPU is still running (the proof is that after waiting for the computer is supposed to be start to Windows logon, I push the power button, the computer really shuts down). Sometimes the CPU even be restarted, without continue running to the Windows logon, even with Safe mode. The situation occurs for about an hour or more, after that, everything is ok as if nothing happens before. I tried to recreate the error, but I can't. So, the problem I guess is : either the AGP video card or the AGP slot can only works properly when being warmed up enough. Is there any way to test which one has the problem ? I tried that AGP video card in another system, it's ok. I also tried another AGP video card in my system, it's ok too. Thanks in advance Cobica |

Hi,
You might want to list your motherboard type, the video card type, etc., just general information about make, model that would help us to know what you are dealing with. Have you tried deleting the video card in Device Drivers and reinstalling the drivers when it comes back up? I think that might be a good first step. |
