XFX GeForce MX 40000
What is the s-video output on my XFX GeForce MX4000 video card used for? If I replace my CRT monitor with an LCD flat panel, would the s-video connection be used on the new LCD or will I use the old video connector that is now used by my CRT? I have noticed LCD's on display in stores that appear to have a very thin, round cable running from them to some hidden output device. Could someone fill me in on how to connect my wished-for LCD?

In this picture the white connector is the DVI connector, the black one is the S-Video output, and the blue one is the VGA connector. If you don't have a DVI connector then you can still connect an LCD panel to your video card as long as it accepts a plain old VGA input. Some LCDs can accept either VGA or DVI. Other LCDs can accept both. You just have to make sure to get one which accepts plain old VGA.
