Video Card or Memory???

I have an AMD Duron 1.5 Ghz which has Win Xp SP2 installed on it. Because of the poor config. of that computer, I had to upgrade my memory from 256 mb to 512. I only have one big game installed on it, NFS U2. However, the game runs slow, not as I want it to. It can be illustrated as 1 frame/sec. The video card is some standard 32mb and I want to know how I can improve the game graphics and speed. In other words, is the video card very old or I need to add some more memory to my PC?
All help, answers, suggestions would be appreciated.

Your ram is plently for that game. The cpu a little on the weak side but should be able to play that particular game. I would say your best shot at getting the game playable is upgrade your video card to some with T&L and directx 9 support.

WHat you should get depends on your budget and if you have a AGP slot or just PCI. I would not recommend getting more then a mid range video card regardless because a high end video card will just be bottlenecked by your cpu.

This is probably substandard for todays games. You may want to opt for a different card.
The 512MB memory should be sufficient.

Thanx alot guys. Appreciated very much! Extremely sorry but need more clarification.
Now, how do i know if i have a AGP slot or just PCI. I know that i got alot of PCI slots that are not being used but no idea about AGP. Which is cheaper, which is expensive? This would help be prepare my budget and decide which one to go with.
A mid range video card would be 128 (Radeon or GeForce)?
Which one should I buy? I am looking for the cheapest one but I also want my game to work
