Please help <3

Ok um.. I'm trying to install my card seen here:

But it's not being detected. When I plug the monitor into it, it will get power to it but the monitor will not display anything, it's just black. I've already disabled my current one through the Device Manager, and still it won't be detected. I don't know how to disable it through the BIOS because mine is outdated and retarded, and says nothing about the graphics controller on then to toggle from "PCI or ONBOARD" and it's on PCI right now. Help pls kthxbye

I don't want to insult you or make you look stupid, but did you plug the monitor cable in to the new gpu or the old onboard socket?
