9800 pro problem need help!!!
my friend upgraded his monitor from 15in to a 21 in. he was playing around with his resolution display...he picked one of the choices dont know which one, must be a very high resolution or something but the monitor could not handle it and the screen just blacked out but the comp is still running, there was still music playing but could not see anything. tried to get it back to normal but could not see anything, so i'm guessing the video card is fried?
can anyone help us figure this problem out? and yea we are trying to avoid buying another card. p.s we tried putting other video cards in and it works. |

Hello There,
If it were mine, I would put in the video card that works, then delete all the video drivers, shut down, reinstall the 9800 pro, then reinstall the newest and best drivers that you have downloaded from the manufacturer's website. If that did not work, do the same process and download the Ogema drivers for that card. One of these should get you going if the card is not fried. Never say never, give it a try. I had a slight problem with my 9800 pro card and that worked for me. |
