connecting my tv to my pc

i have a nvidia fx5600xt video card that supports dual view, the problem is that when i connect my tv via the composit connection (s-video from card to composite in tv set) the screen is simply black, and sometimes jumps when i change resolution for the tv or do something like that.
i have tried changing the output color mode and color depth and resolution and i don't know what else to do.
i'm trying to connect it to a panasonic 25" tv.

I found that this thread seems to have some ideas for resolving the issue.
