Mobo refuses 3.3V AGP Card?
i have recently purchased a new computer and a new Video Card, the
GeForce FX 5600. The AGP slot says "Do not put a 3.3V AGP Card or it will cause permanent damage" I already had to fix previous computers many times and it's just a pain in the ***!! and i'm being extra careful with this computer. I have a Intel mobo. I have checked it is a 3.3V and 1.5V Compatible. Does the warning mean it can only accept 1.5V AGP cards? Please respond ASAP!! |

I say that if it warns you then it's for good reason. Inserting a 1.5V card into a 3.3V slot is asking for trouble. Likewise, putting a 3.3V card into a 1.5V slot won't work right.
