PNY GeForce 5700LE Jerky in Games

Hi all. I have a 3.4Ghz machine running 1 gig RAM and so on. I also have a GeForce 5700LE from PNY. When I try to play games such as MoH: Pacific Assault, the game is so jerky to a point that it is unplayable. I have defragged and checked I have the latest drivers. No existing drivers could be a problem because the machine has been reformatted etc. so I can't think of any possible problems. Overheating is certainly not one as I have 3 fans that are just for cooling (not specifically for devices). BIOS looks set to be alright. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

Is this the only game you have a problem with ?
Oh and it not a good idea to post your e-mail visible (and easy to pick up by bots) like that.

Just because you have 3 fans doesnt mean it couldnt be an overheating problem. The high end Intel Prescotts are known to overheat especially if you use the standard heat sink.

Try MBM5 or Speedfan (in my signature) and see what the temperatures do when you play the game.

Ok, thanks for the warning.
No, but it's mainly this game. Other games have jerky loading screens if they're visualisations, even if nothing else is running. And some tend to just jerk.

Is this an AGP or PCI card? From the sounds of it you ought to have enough CPU power for most anything so I would then look at the card.

That was my assumption. It's an AGP card if that helps at all.

Strange... An AGP card ought to be able to handle this. I know that FX cards weren't exactly the greatest thing out there but even so...

Have you tried disabling AGP fast writes? That has been known to help alleviate stuttering on many cards. Another thing to check is the clock speed for both 2D and 3D, making sure they are the same for both settings and for the RAM. Also, do you have the amperes for your power supply? Those are listed on the label of your PSU. The brand would also help us diagnose your problem. Best of luck!

I'm running the 71.89 drivers for my 6800 and I've yet to have any major problems. Are your chipset drivers current?
