My 6800 reports as about 127MB of onboard memory. I think it's just a little quirk. Even so, you likely won't be running much that would require that much VRAM on that card.

Agreed...the way megabytes(MB) convert from bits (8 bits in 1 byte, 1024bytes in a kilobyte, 1024kilobytes in a megabyte) so often companies get away with saying something has a given amount when it actually has less (this is more of a problem with hard drives than video cards).

Either way, like ebackhus said, even if your card would use that .5megabytes you wouldn't even see a bump in performance.

I really wouldn't worry about it...you'll see little things like that all the time- my system memory reads as 513MB, but I don't worry about it. Just little things with the way they guage it will change the displayed value slightly.

thank you gentlemen, appreciate the feedback.i asked coz i have problems running a game and on posting my dx diag someone said the memory is being shown as 63.5 coz my driver was not installed properly. i tried installing 3 different versions of the driver including the latest and it always shows 63.5.from your replies i gather that it's an usual phenomenon.ty for the replies, everyone.
