ati 9700 mobile vs geforce go 6200

Which card is better for a laptop?
It seems that the 9700 has 64 meg shared ram and the 6200 only has 32 with 96 shared, making a total of 128.
I won't be doing all that much gaming on this comp as I have a desktop for that, but I still would like a decent chip in my laptop. I want to run linux also on this machine, which apparently is hard to get ATI to configure correctly. But linux can also be very memory intensive, and will loosing 96 meg (of probably 512 I'll put in it) be a detriment to performance? Does anyone have any benchmarks or any other specs on these cards that can help me make my decision?

Tough call, bro. The 9700's were very good cards. Kinda underdog but worthy of praise. The 6200 is the bottom of the barrel from nVidia and sadly I don't know much about it yet. My recommendation is that you seek a card with dedicated RAM if you want to save as much as you can for your OS. My laptop also uses a shared-RAM system and I can use the BIOS to change it from 16MB to 64MB. I wish I could go as low as 4MB but it won't let me... Between the two I'd likely go with the 6200.
