This is the third thread you have created on the same subject. Please stop creating redundant threads. If you had only created one thread you would have noticed that some of these questions were already answered in one of the other threads yesterday. Please let the other threads die and just continue in this one so the answers only have to appear once. Since you missed it, here was the answer I gave you some time ago in one of your other threads:

Quote:
Intel 810 motherboards do not have AGP slots. If you want to upgrade your video you'll have to get a PCI video board.
So you can only add a PCI video board. Any PCI video board will do. It doesn't matter how much video RAM it has or whether it uses SDR or DDR video RAM. Unfortunately, the selection of PCI video boards is extremely limited.

The cheapest board you should consider is something like this 128MB Radeon 9250 which costs US$55 or this 128MB GeForce FX5200 which costs US$68. Unfortunately I'm pretty sure that they both have 64 bit memory which means that they are not very fast. All the PCI boards in that price range have 64 bit memory so they are all slow. They are still probably an improvement over the Intel 810 which you have.

The faster video boards use 128 bit memory but they are also hard to find and more expensive. This 256MB Radeon 9250 is US$89 and this 256MB GeForce FX5200 is US$94. Both of them are 128 bit boards which means they're pretty fast but unfortunately you also get stuck with 256MB of video RAM which you don't need.

Given that your computer is so old, you might consider whether it makes sense to be spending any more money on it. These video boards are PCI boards and so it wouldn't make sense to transfer them over to a new computer if you got one. At some point you just have to start over and get a new computer. This might be a good time to consider that option.

No. PCI-Express is not compatible with PCI. The only thing you can add to your current computer is a PCI video card.

or you could also look into acquiring a new MoBo with either a PCI-e or AGP either 4X or AGP 8X.

btw can you send and post a picture of your motherboard so we can see the expansion slots available? then i or others here as well can explain which ones you have.

this is not a comment for you to get a newer comp. just a newer MoBo possibly a newer CPU for it as well

a good 939 board i fopud for you is here

uner 100$ as well.
http://www.globalcomputer.com/applic...198925&CatId=0

keep in mind if you get a new board you will have to go with mATX not ATX. "m" stands for Micro. micro meanign a fullsize ATX board will not fit at all in your computer. it the case was made for compactability.

this is a intel p4 board 478 for just over 100$ decent too. suports upto agp 8x
