Unfortunalety you get what you pay for. Not everyone is as unfortunate as dai and cant get it to work at all but even if it does its a low end as you can go and you wont be able to enjoy any of the latest games.
If you want a card for a good price thats able to play games at medium or high detail you should look for a 9600Pro series card - they are available under 100$.

Just look on www.newegg.com for 9600Pro - there are several models to choose from.

when you get enough money double your ram to 512mg
the problem i had was the dvi side would work, but the annalouge side would not and they wanted it to go out to tv which works through that side of the card

I suggest to get at least a MX440 as the MX4000s perform even worse. And make sure you get a card with 128 bit memory interface like this one:

more is better
dude just upgrade for a better card... really havent heard anything good about the 9200 se. for about 200 bucks you can buy 9800 pro. or if yur in the 100 dollar range 9600 will suffice.
always look for more fast RAM better core clock speeds. read reviews and cost efficiency play in it. |

I installed a 9200 card in my granddaughter's computer. She likes to play Halo Combat Evolved and the only problem I have noticed is that the action slows down when into heavy fighting. I played it on my computer with with a 9600 XT (256 mb)with no problems. Also played Half Life 2 with no problems except that I had to tone down the sound acceleration. I believe that it takes a combination of cpu, system ram, video card and sound card to run toady's games. Any one of these can cause problems when running games.
