Hi all,
i was just wondering if any of you good folk out there can help me! i have a powercolor ATI Rad9800 pro 128meg card fitted in my machine, and i've recently added another monitor to it so i can run Dual Display. But when i installed the Hydrovision software, i found that i wasn't able to actually dual them in a stretched desktop mode. So, i did a search for any information regarding this and found that ATI doesn't support this feature, unlike NVidia, which is disappointing considering how good these card's are. My question is, is there anyway around this?, ie: alternative software with which i can use the stretch feature? I have a Sapphire X800 pro on the way so you can imagine how disappointed i'm going to be if this is not possible :( Any help on this will be greatly appreciated :) Thank's for your time ;) Jay :) |

I've got the same card but don't use Hydrovision.
My setup is Monitor1 19"@1024x768 32 bit colour, Monitor2 15"@800x600 16bit colour. Not sure about WinXP but with Win98/ME just go to Display Properties - Settings and click on the Monitor 2 picture to enable your second monitor and tick the 'extend my windows desktop onto this monitor' box, then grab the active window border and stretch it to fill both screens. This works best if both monitors are the same size & resolution. |
