FPS drop using GAINWARD 9600 gt

Just bought a 9600 gt a month ago And it performed Lousier than my 8400 On audiitionsea. First suspected that its an psu problem And changed it But the Problems Exist .. FPS is not stable ... And it keeps on going down from 180 Fps to 160 fps most of the time ... Note : This doesnt happend to my 8400

Specs :
Compaq SR5385CF
Intel core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 2.4 GHZ
4gb DDR2 RAM
250 GB HDD
9600 GT 512 MB

reinstalled almost all versions of drivers from nivida . Used driver sweeper to completely removed it .

Please Help solve my weird problem ><

What brand and model power supplies have you tried it with?

Use a program like GPU-Z to monitor the graphics card's temperature while gaming, if the card is overheating that could explain the performance drop.
