Upgrading to a new Video card
I have recently upgraded to Windows 7 and find my TV through my MCE to be sometime slightly choppy.
I was already thinking of upgrading my Graphics card and as I don't know alot about them, I was wondering if some one could suggest a few Nvidia/ATI models that would be considered an improvement for my system. I don't play games on my computer, but I do use it to play lots of movies to my HDTV and record from my Satellite I have a AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 2.0 GHZ 3800+ 3GB Ram with a Nvidia 6800GS video card now Maybe suggestions for a new Tuner Card as well ?? I am currently using a ATI Remote Wonder Plus Any suggestions appreciated, Thanks, Dash Last edited by dashingw; 11-10-2009 at 04:04 PM. |

Re: Upgrading to a new Video card
I may have answered my own question, this looks to be my next video card that would work with my system....
ATI Radeon HD 4350 512MB GDDR2 PCI-E Video Card everything else I see looks like it may be overkill, because I don't play games and my system is only 2.0 GHZ correct ?? |

Re: Upgrading to a new Video card
While not impossible to use ATI cards I would probably stay with Nvidia to avoid Driver conflicts with the Nvidia chipset drivers.
The 9400GT or if you have at least a 500w PSU the 9500GT would also work. |
