video card query
im using a core 2 duo processor with xp service pack 2. the motherboard box says it has a PCI express x16 graphics connector. does this mean i can only use pci express cards?
i wanna buy an XFX Radeon HD 4870 XXX 1 GB. is it compatible and will it run? plz clarify thanx in advance! |

Post the specs of the PC including PSU brand and wattage.
You will need quality PSU to run this card. If you have a PCI-E x16 slot on the MB then you should be fine.

2.80 GHz 2GB DDR2-RAM DG31PR (G31 chipset)
The motherboard box says that it supports 95W thermal design power. I dont exactly know the psu...but is this enough for the card to run? |

Look on the label on side of the PSU for the brand and wattage.
