nvidia graphic driver problem in windows 7

i recently installed windows 7 in my comp.. i hav 512 mb nvidia 8400 gs graphics card..

when i tried to install the drivers(cd) given by manufacturer along with the card , it shows its not compatible.. so i went to the nvidia site and downloaded the drivers for windows 7,

even though i installed the drivers i couldnt find any change in appearance.. it was same like before when drivers are not installed...

pls help me .. whether i should get better drivers or there is no need of installation of drivers in windows 7

the appearance will not change when you install a new graphics card, only when you play movies or games will you see any difference. and thats only if the old grphics card couldn't handle it as well.

sry ur comments didnt help me any thing at all.. when i play fifa 10 game (when drivers are not installed)it looked same as it is played with drivers installed. therefore no difference..

in the device manager uninstall the video card
reboot tapping f8 and choose low resolution mode
when windows finishes rebooting
disable a/virus
install your drivers
reboot the computer
