Something wrong with my video card
It started off with no video display at all. I switched monitors and VGA cords and still no display.
So I opened my computer and started poking around at the video card, cleaning it, but nothing worked. Eventually I stumbled upon an image of my mobo and it displayed a "VGA" slot that connected directly to my mobo. But I didn't notice this because there was a "Do not remove" cap over top of it so I never bothered with it. Anywho, I remove the cap, plug in my monitor, turned on my PC and it worked! So the "original" VGA (and DVI) slots still don't work and I was wondering if buying a new video card would solve the problem? And is using the VGA I'm using now slowly ruining my PC? Specs for my entire system are here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/d...roduct=3310300 EDIT: New! I just encountered a problem which I assume is from using the other VGA slot...When I attempt to change the colour on my monitor using Nvidia control panel, it doesn't do anything. It saves the changes but nothing actually happens. Last edited by WrapB4uTap; 11-06-2009 at 12:10 PM. |
