ATI Radeon 9550 for borderlands

Hi guys,

when i try open borderlands from steam i get this error message:
The game requires atleast shader model 3.0

my pc's graphics card is ATI Radeon 9550

How can i get this shader model 3.0 for free?

ps: im guessing shader model 3.0 is software

Well guess again because shader model 3 is a physical hardware requirement , the 9 series only supports shader model 2.

can i atleast get a link to dl shader model 3? could work

It isn't something you download. "Shader model 3" means that the stream/shader/whatever processors on your graphics card have support for shader model 3. They are hardware components. Hardware. Physical.

If you want to play Borderlands you'll need a new graphics card.
