radeon x600 pci express

I am trying to put a graphics card onto a dell xps 200.
The max power supply unit I believe is 270watts

I cannot find what the watt requirement is for the radeon x600

It is not listed on their website. All the other cards like the next one up which is the x1300 require 300 watts or above...

There is no indication on the system requirements for the x600...

Does that mean that it does not require a certain wattage...

I am seeking low energy good performance, low profile card... thanks for the help anyone...

Re: radeon x600 pci express

The x1300 is less powerful then the x600, The ATI line up went x300- x900 then the x1050.
The x1x00 was a updated series so the x1300 was a little more powerful then the x300.

The x600 is going to need closer to 450w to be properly powered, and you can't get that in the SFF Dell case.

.
I assume Its pci-e 16X? Or what?

Q: What are the power requirements for the GeForce 8400 GS GPU?
A: GeForce 8400 GS cards have a maximum power draw of 71 watts.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814500121

Thats an example. I wouldn't even get a card that kills more than 100w. Thats pushing it then.
The less power you use the better since you have total 270w.
