Re: updating GTX 285 Drivers

Probably the one from evga. Although if there's nothing wrong with your current drivers then they do not need to be updated.

Re: updating GTX 285 Drivers

alright thanks. i got the bsod when playing halo 2 but i think it is because i did not have the fan on my card turned up higher from the default 40% and it soared up into the 70C and glitched, thats my theory anyways.

Re: updating GTX 285 Drivers

A better theory is that your power supply is made by cyberpower and isn't decent enough to run your system.

graphic card temp evga gtx 285 2g

It's an Ultra X-Pro 800W, which is a meh 700W PSU. Not very good, but it should at least power his system during old games like Halo 2. If the problem goes away after raising his fan speed then I'll say that this problem, at least, is solved, though there may be others later.

Re: updating GTX 285 Drivers

thanks, it isn't a top of the line power supply but since Cyberpower built this unit I am guessing that they would put a powersupply that could handle the system.
Especially since it is made for gaming, it should be able to power this system with a full load. Like Phædrus2401 said about turning the gtx card fan up, I have done this and it seems to have helped. no problems at all so far.
