Help me choose!!!

In terms of gaming, which is better? The GT220 or Mobility Radeon HD 4570?

P.S. Since the case is very complicated, I prefer replies like: GT 220 or Mobility Radeon 4570. Do not give me replies like: If you want to game, just buy a desktop etc.

Nothing complicated about the question. The GT220, being a dedicated GPU, would obviously be a better performer.

The 4570 is also a dedicated gpu. They'll both perform about the same and overheat and fry around the same time so either is fine.

Can't disagree with the similarities as they are very much alike in the performance area. I normally choose ATI cards, but in this instance, I think the GT220 is a better choice than this particular ATI card. Just a personal choice on my part, but you are correct, either one will do the job.

You mean that the Mobility Radeon HD 4570 which is a notebook's graphics card is on par with the GT 220? Does anyone here has the full specifications for both the graphics card?

In comparison the gt220 is pretty much a 9600gt , and a 4570 , hmm , would be a little slower then a 4650.

I'm more ATI and nVidia so my vote goes to the Radeon. I also agree that both will overheat/fry around the same time.

Actually, I'm considering between a laptop and a desktop which have those two graphics card. Now the only difference is in the processor. The desktop uses the Core 2 Duo E8500 while the laptop uses Core 2 Duo P8700. Does the processor affect the performance in gaming much?

It does , but definitely get the desktop it'll last so much longer then the laptop.
