EEK! hd 4770 vs hd 4830 vs 4850

http://xtreview.com/addcomment-id-87...s-HD-4830.html

Could ddr5 really help a 128bit that much? I had a hd 4670 1g drr3 and just bought a hd 4830 ddr3 256 bit. And with crysis noticed a big difference and i'm not one to exaggerated because I own stuff.

The guy at store told me about the 4770 but when I saw 128 bit I lost interest.

Could the ddr5 4770 preform just as well with low fps?

Re: hd 4770 vs hd 4830 vs 4850

Since GDDR5 is quad-pumped, so it transfers twice as much data per clock cycle. Thus if you have 1200MHz GDDR3 256-bit and 1200MHz GDDR5 128-bit, they'll pass the exact same amount of data.

The Radeon 4770 is roughly equivalent to the 4830. In some games the 4830 does better, in others the 4770 is better. The 4850 is better than either.

Re: hd 4770 vs hd 4830 vs 4850

Some say the hd 4770 beats the gt9800 and does not need alot of power to run.

I need to study theses things more before buying stuff. But my dumb habit of wanting things yesterday keeps getting me.

I saw a review yesterday (forgot to save link) Where the guy said he knew both specs of the cards and still wanted 4830 instead of the 4770 because with low fps he said the 4830 wins. Now sure if true.

You gotta remember also that the 5770 is 128bit as well and beats out the 4870 in many applications. That ddr5 really makes a difference.
