Secondary display problems
I made the mistake of updating my video card driver (Vista)(ATI Radeon HD 2400)and now my secondary display (TV) will only show grayscale. After the update the screen resolutions were changed, so I changed them back but nothing I do will get the color back. I've tried googling the problem but it didn't help. Any ideas?

Re: Secondary display problems
You could load a System Restore point before you installed the new drivers and use the old drivers again, since it sounds like a problem in the new driver. There should be a restore point that was created when you installed the drivers.
System Restore can be found under (in Vista) Start->All Programs-> Accessories->System Tools->System Restore. This will only restore the old drivers, it will not delete any personal documents. Last edited by Darnel_380; 10-21-2009 at 05:33 PM. |

Re: Secondary display problems
Ok, then I first have one question. Did you roll back the computer to a day BEFORE you installed, not on (probably, just checking)
Then some other ideas: 1) Reset the card to factory defaults 2) Uninstall the driver and then reinstall it. Should carry default settings 3) download and install the drivers that you used before or load the ones off the disk Hope something works! |
