[SOLVED] Virtual Desktop Problem

Hey guy, I am new here and suck with computers. I have a radeon hd 4670, and a samsung 305t. I turned on my machine this morning and the resolution was very low. when I set it back to the highest resolution I know have the problem which I am told is called "virtual desktop" where the whole desktop does not fit into the screenspace. can anyone help?

Not entirely , is your monitor scrolling with the mouse becuase the desktop is to big , or is the desktop physically smaller then what the monitor supports and has black edges?

I fixed it by unplugging the vga cable and replugging it lol
