New EVGA 8400 making my computer an ACID TRIP! HELP!!!!!

Hi, Im really needing some help here..I had a ZOTAC nividia 5200 card installed and it wouldnt run any games..my other 5200 went out..so I just purchased an EVGA Nvidia 8400..since I have AGP, PCI and PCI E bus slots on my motherboard..but I chose PCI..

I uninstalled the drivers to the 5200..powered off..took the card out..put the 8400 in...proceeded to install drivers on boot up...everthing was fine, then my screen went brilliant lime green and funky pixels like an acid trip..

I could barely see to find the control panel to uninstall the driver again..but I found it, unistalled it and back to normal..well not normal, because I can barely even type with whatever crappy video im using right now..

Anyway, I tried it a couple of other times..even used DriverWasher to completely uninstall my drivers and reinstall..same thing..funky acid trip screen..

Im using a 52 inch flat screen tv as my monitor but it works find with the other cards..so cant see that as a problem..here are all my specs on my pc..please..can someone help me..Im a graphic designer for a living and I cant work right now!!!

Re: New EVGA 8400 making my computer an ACID TRIP! HELP!!!!!

Do you have the machines bios set to accept standard pci cards? Also , if the card is new you should return it. Standard pci is the worst bus you could have chosen between agp and pci-e.
