Re: Video card over heating
Make sure the graphics card fan is running while the computer is on. That seems the mostly likely problem.
What brand is the 4650? XFX, Sapphire, HIS, etc. Also, what case do you have? Finally what brand and chipset is the "T-Series Motherboard"?

Re: Video card over heating
Try getting the room temperature lower , also make sure the case has decent airflow and that all the fan ports are occupied. That card should easily be idleing under 50c and not exceed 70 when in use.

Re: Video card over heating
Yeah it used to be fine, but lately after playing even older games like battlefield 2, it heats up and just shuts down. How do i check if the fan is working? Its on the bottom of the card so i cant see if its moving, and i dont wanna touch it while its turned on lol

Re: Video card over heating
Well, I wouldn't recommend sticking your finger in it. It doesn't really hurt (maybe like someone flicking your finger), but to lesson the risk of accidentally touching the PCB just listening for the fan would better.

Re: Video card over heating
Ok in the event that the fan ISNT working. What then? Ill admit when i cleaned it of dust with the can of air, i never really cleaned that fan very well because of its location under the card, and you cant turn those bottles upside down or it wont spray correctly. I tried to remove the card but in fear of breaking it because of how snug its in there. I just left it, so im thinking there might be some dust in the fan.

Re: Video card over heating
Alright well. i got the card out, wasnt really any dust at all. I noticed however that the fan actually is NOT working on my card, so it looks like thats my problem. What now?

Re: Video card over heating
Alright. Man i knew i shouldnt have bought a cheap video card lol. I figured with my system when i built it, that i could run pretty much any game out on max with no aa, but that video card is bottlenecking on high end games, i should buy a new one.
