GTX275 768MB and Phenom 9950 BE (2.6GHz)

I have a GTX275 768MB with 2 fans (but that's unimportant). I have an AMD PhenomX4 9950 Black Edtion (2.6GHz) as my processor. I'm just wondering, would this processor bottleneck that graphics card? I'm using stock fans for the processor. I've not noticed very much of an FPS increase from an 8800GT 512MB I had to the new one. I'm sure brand isn't the problem, so no Intel fanatics trying to "convert" me please.

I'm not extremely knowledgeable about AMD processors, but I remember that the original Phenoms were much slower than the Phenom IIs.

What are your full system specs?

I would imagine it's probably close to a q6600 , in which case it should be fine. I would say your lack of performance increase is due to lack of power , and or the fact that moving from high end cards to slightly higher end cards usually doesn't show a very noticeable performance gain. You'll notice in my "gpu benchmarks" link that the gtx260/280 only score a few thousand more points then an 8800.

Ah, I am not yet old enough for my own house, so I have no bills to pay. It'll probably be quite different when I do get my own house
