HP Pavilion 8766C - PIII 900 MHz

Hi, I hope someone can help me... I'm at a loss here. My computer doesn't seem to recognize the vga for a monitor.. Everything else seems to work.. but the monitor doesn't seem to be doing anything.. the monitor is good it was working 2 days ago on another computer

Does the machine post at all? Or does the monitor stay inactive at all times? Try bench testing the machine as well.
