Mistake Need Help, with powercolor hd4670 agp

Hello, i just bought today a new graphic card, Powercolor HD 4670 1GB DDR3 AGP, i have before a Radeon 9600pro 126Mb AGP.

My motherboard is a Arock 775V88+.

I uninstaled the drivers and removed my old radeon and connected the powercolor. When i start my computer the monitor does not respond and instead of boot i listen to 5 or 6 bips in sequence, and can't boot my pc.
I currently connect again the radeon to come here ask for help, what's going wrong here, anyone pls?

According to Asroks website: 5 short is a Process Error.

What we need is the duration of the beeps AND THE EXACT NUMBER OF BEEPS. Short/long for duration.

@Others posting: Would more modern cards have built in internal speakers that would emit the error beep codes...or are the only error codes coming from the motherboard?

What brand and model of power supply do you have? Going from a 9600 to a 4670 is a rather large jump.

Re: Need Help, with powercolor hd4670 agp

Ebak, this is my power supply:
Startronic , Pentium P4 & PFC, Model: st-500cpba
I don't know how to see how many W it has but i believe it is 400 or 500.

About the BIPS i get in begining i will descrive the best i can:

One long beep that can also be 2 short beeps with 1/4 second difference, a sequence of 8 short beeps with half a second between them, then after 1 second another short beep.

Apreciate all the help you can give pls, tyvm in advance.

Re: Need Help, with powercolor hd4670 agp

Get the latest bios for the board

http://www.asrock.com/mb/download.as...75V88%2b&s=775

However that old motherboard may not support that newer gpu , this is very typical of Asrock. Since the agp version of the 4670 is just the pci-e version with a converter chip the board can lack the ability to recognize it if it's too old.
