Re: Need HDMI on video Card

You mean the $800 build in the Building forum?

If so, this would do nicely:

Re: Need HDMI on video Card

Most of the Ati 4800 series comes with an Dvi to hdmi adapter or either already has one. Also if you might ask you dont lose quality if you use an adapter

Re: Need HDMI on video Card

The substitute card is discontinued on new egg. Request another replacement. I do not object to DVI to HDMI adaptor. Also need TV card w Remote. Building from Building Forum, the $800 model, or does Thread need Update?

Re: Need HDMI on video Card

The prices in that forum are pretty out of date, but the build is still pretty good. You can replace the video card with this:

POWERCOLOR AX5750 1GBD5-PDH Radeon HD 5750 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card - Retail $129
Building Forum list was attractive with all components matched. The 5750 is a great price but is a step back in performance.
I want a quality build running vista ultimate for streaming video, DVR for TV with a large Buffer when my wireless Broadband slows. I have the Motherboard reccomended Gigabyte EP45-UD3L and case Coolermaster Centurion, now I am getting confused.
Many vendors are moving excess inventory and i would like Quality and price. Am not trying to be cutting edge. Please comment.
