Call of Duty 4 screen flickering.

Okay, so I just bought a brand new computer, hooked it up and everything seems to be running perfectly, a huuuuuge upgrade from my previous machine, but of course I wouldn't be here if there wasn't a problem.

So with this new computer I've been able to enjoy many of the newer games, just for example, prototype, batman: arkham asylum, fallout 3, crysis, (not new I guess, but of course we all know how great it looks) farcry 2 etc, etc.

None of the games previously mentioned have caused me any troubles at all, no screen flickering, no tearing or any issues I can think of, they all run at about high, but with out antialiasing.

So the problem is, when I am playing call of duty 4, and this mainly occurs when I die, specifically from a grenade, the game is afflicted by many lines that flicker and blink throughout the entire screen. the more intense the action, the more lines and flickering occur. sometimes when I look up or zoom in at the ground, the screen stabilizes, but not always, often I am forced to restart the game. maybe I posted under the wrong section, but I guess I don't see it being anything other than my video card. I don't understand why this problem is occurring with only call of duty though, that strikes me as very strange.

my video card is a nvidia e-Geforce 8600 GT, drivers are up to date, direct x up to date. I am not sure what the problem could be, any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks a lot in advance.

i have a similar problem.
on my computer when ever i play a game or watch a video, lines flicker and cut trouh my screen.
even more similar is my problem with fallout 3 on xbox 360. its so annoying, it makes the game nearly un playable.
