Graphics Card not responding?

I own a Zebronics 8600GT graphics card with 512Mb video memory. Im running it on XP with an AMD Athlon X2 4400 ,ASUS X-Series Motherboard, 160Gb Hard Disk and 2Gb RAM. Today my graphics card stopped responding when i noticed that my 19" LCD monitor showed the message 'No Signal Input' and stopped displaying anything. I opened my cabinet and saw that the graphic cards' fan was still spinning. I tried plugging the video cables to my motherboard and my monitor displayed eveything properly but there is no message in the BIOS showing that my graphics card is plugged in. I tried changing the wires( both VGA and DVI) but my graphics card is still not working. Could somebody tell me whats the problem. Im an avid gamer and this graphics card works with Crysis, Assassin's Creed, Prototype, GTA IV, Wolfenstein, etc.

Re: Graphics Card not responding?

Was the computer off or on when the monitor stopped responding? Check the bios and see if it simply reset the video output to the onboard and not the pci-e slot.

Re: Graphics Card not responding?

The computer was on when i plugged up my monitor to my graphics card. Normally, the first thing i see is the BIOS screen with 'Nvidia 8600GT 512Mb Primary Display Adapter' before the ASUS sign. But when I start up now the monitor goes blank and then I plug up to my motherboard the display comes back.

By the way how do you find out that the video output is from the onboard and not the primary?
