Lost my sleep option and screensavers--don't know how to get them back!!
Okay, so I thought it would be cool to use an external monitor along with my laptop monitor. Well, that has been an utter disaster!! Apparently my computer (Toshiba, Vista) is not compatible for such a feat. Now my computer has 'serious' issues in my opinion. I don't know anything about video cards but apparently mine is messed up or something. I do not know what to do in order to get my SLEEP option and SCREENSAVERS back in working order. I feel like I have tried everything the 'HELP' options has to offer...now I'm seeking outside help..
Here are some of the symptoms: no sleep option, no screensavers, my picture quality it poor, my laptop monitor is stretched out...plus when I was removing the monitor my laptop screen started going crazy by flickering and almost made me have a seizure... Here is what I have already done: installed all things update(able), restarted the computer, unpluged the extra monitor, defragmented.... Sooo any suggestions for what I need to do next??
